Up A Level K9 Academy empowers dogs and their owners to build confident, respectful, and lasting partnerships through immersive, real-world training in a safe, structured, and nature-rich environment. Our mission is to help people discover the greatness in their dogs by providing personalized behavior modification, obedience training, and owner education that elevate the entire relationship, thereby creating confident dogs, empowered humans and relationships built to last —at home, in public, and throughout life.

Every training journey begins with strengthening the bond between dog and owner. We focus on communication, trust, and clarity so both the dog & owner understand one another and can thrive together long after training ends.

2. RealWorld Training Creates RealWorld Results

Dogs learn best through experience. Training begins onsite at our facility and extends to private trails, the fenced yard, the spring-fed creek, and outings throughout Door County and beyond. This ensures that obedience, confidence, and control hold up in everyday environments—not just in a classroom.

3. Personalized Programs for Every Dog

No two dogs are the same. Whether addressing obedience, reactivity, fear, or aggression, each training plan is tailored to the dog’s temperament, history, and goals. Our advanced “Live with the Trainer” program and behavior modification offerings provide intensive, individualized support for dogs with more complex needs.

4. Safe, Structured, Home-Based Care

Dogs stay in a facility attached to the trainer’s home, ensuring constant oversight, comfort, and a calm, family-integrated environment. Our rural 20-acre property—surrounded by farmland in all directions—creates the ideal setting for learning, decompression, and behavioral reset.

5. Owner Education Is Essential

Training doesn’t end when your dog goes home. Owners participate in an educational program throughout the process, learning the tools, techniques, and mindset needed to maintain progress. Every client receives a customized reintegration plan to support long-term success.

6. Balanced, Ethical, and Effective Methods

We use humane, balanced training approaches that prioritize fairness, clarity, and consistency. Our goal is not just compliance—it’s helping dogs make good choices, develop self-control, and build confidence.

7. LongTerm Partnership and Support

We remain a resource for our clients long after training is complete. Daycare and boarding are available on a limited basis for Up A Level graduates, ensuring continuity of care and ongoing reinforcement of training foundations.
